Magnesium oxide is one of the ingredients of animal feed. It is added to animal feed as an important mineral supplement and must be essentially free of lead and heavy metal contamination.
Feed-grade light-burned magnesium oxide can supplement the magnesium deficiency in ruminant diets and reduce the occurrence of magnesium deficiency. It is also an excellent rumen buffer, regulating rumen fermentation, and can increase milk production and milk fat content.
